How to check your current version of Microsoft Dynamics AX


Open Microsoft Dynamics AX 2009/2012 Application

 Click on the help button on the top right


Click on About  Microsoft Dynamics AX

Also, Verify that kernel version and Application version should be same.

    Hi, i have seen client environment as kernel version and Application version both are different. Application version shows base build of AX 2012 R3 (i.e., 6.3.164.0) where are kernel build shows as 6.3.164.3669. With this version compatibility does AX application behaves inconsistently? If yes, then how to resolve the issue.

    it is not must to have same version on both. but it might araise some issue. So it's better to have both version same.

    it seem you have applied any hotfix.
